Article on comparison of primary testing in the Nordic countries published in Journal of Medical Screening
The study on comparison of cytology and HPV-based primary testing in cervical screening was published in the Journal of Medical Screening.
The article presents the methodology of defining primary tests and classification of test results in NordScreen. The results show that the probability of any positive test results was higher in human papillovirus testing than in primary cytology, even though the cross-sectional detection of a clearly positive test result was the same.
